JANIS GREIG

Janis was born in Northern Ireland and moved to the mainland to complete a Foundation Art course at Norwich School of Art. Janis went on to complete a BA (hons) in Wood, Metal, Plastics and Ceramics in Brighton where she specialised in Wood and Metal, designing and making furniture.

After graduating, Janis moved to Hong Kong where she was the in-house stylist for Arthouse Production before returning to London as assistant to Art Director, Claire Lloyd. Janis has written and published a book on the History of the Tile and went on to become the Home Editor at Brides and Setting Up Home, a Condé Nast Publication. Whilst raising a young family Janis continued to design on a freelance basis, designing restaurants in London and styling a number of shoots for House and Garden magazine.

Janis was with Ilse Crawford’s London based design consultancy, Studioilse for 6 years, starting in Press and Events and after graduating from KLC Design School, London, working as a designer on a number of projects including styling a luxury motor yacht, the launch of Ilse Crawford’s Ikea Collection at London Design Festival 2015 and a gallery space for Modernity in Stockholm. Janis was also part of the Studioilse team designing and styling a ski chalet in Verbier, a hotel in Stockholm and a residential property in Mayfair, London.
